On behalf of our planning committee, I would like to welcome you to our website and say thank you for your interest in the 2007 National Capital Golf Classic. This event is Washington D.C.’s premier golf event, raising more than $2 million during the past ten years to fund prostate cancer research and education.
As we prepare for our 11th annual tournament, I would like to thank the many corporate sponsors and players who have continued to support this event each year. Your contributions have made it possible for the American Cancer Society to fund life-saving prostate cancer research, such as the projects that are currently being funded at Georgetown University. Additionally, you have made it possible for men to become educated about prostate cancer through resources like the Society’s “Let's Talk About It” program, and for men facing cancer to receive support through resources such as the Society’s “Man to Man” program. Because of your support, the American Cancer Society is the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research. The Society strives each day to continue to be a trailblazer in the area of cancer research while continuing to provide support to cancer survivors and their caregivers.
We look forward to seeing you this year at The Golf Club at Lansdowne as we continue our fight against cancer while doing something that we all love --- GOLF! Please take a moment to navigate our website and register your team. Thank you and I will see you on September 10.
Sincerely,
Peter Johnston
2007 National Capital Golf Classic Chairman
